Interstate 80

Interstate 80 is an east-west transcontinental freeway crossing the United States from San Francisco, California to Teaneck, New Jersey in the New York City metropolitan area. The highway was designated in 1956 as one of the original routes of the Interstate Highway System and was completed in 1986. Interstate 80 is the second-longest interstate highway in the country after Interstate 90, and it runs through major cities like Oakland, Sacramento, Reno, Salt Lake City, Omaha, Des Moines, and Toledo. The highway closely approximates the route of the earlier Lincoln Highway, established in 1912.
