Inshaf Ibrahim

Inshaf Ibrahim (1981-21 April 2019) was a Sri Lankan factory owner and National Thowheeth Jama'ath (NTJ) member who was one of the suicide bombers who took part in the 2019 Sri Lanka Easter bombings.

Biography[]

Inshaf Ibrahim was the son of spice export businessman Yoonus Ibrahim and the brother of Ilham Ibrahim, and he became the chairman of his father's company. He became a millionaire through his involvement in the real estate, metals, and coffee trading businesses. Although he enjoyed a luxurious life in the Dematagoda suburb of Colombo, he and his brother Ilham became involved with the Islamist National Thowheeth Jama'ath terrorist group, although Inshaf was outwardly moderate in his views and made generous donations to his staff and struggling local households. On 21 April 2019, they took part in the 2019 Sri Lanka Easter bombings. Inshaf was the first of two suicide bombers to attack the Cinnamon Grand Hotel.
