Flag of the Qing Dynasty
The Imperial Chinese Army was the armed forces of the Qing Dynasty of China. Formed in 1644 after the Manchu Conquests reached China, the Chinese army relied on traditional soldiers, weapons, tactics, and society, and were still using the composite bow as their main weapon in the 1800s. The Qianlong Emperor used the army to win over much of Asia, but in the mid-1800s the Chinese faced foreigners and were defeated in every war they fought with them, later resulting in a revolution that overthrew the government in 1912.
