Im Gwan-soo was a Joseon Korean translator who served as the chief interpreter at the United States consulate in Hanseong (Seoul) during the 1900s. In that position, he grew close to the Acting US Consul Eugene Choi, whom he helped to resolve the 1902 American legation in Seoul standoff.
