Iltani (360 BCE - 287 BCE) was a Babylonian member of the Babylonian Brotherhood in the time of Alexander the Great's Macedonian Empire.
Biography[]
Iltani was born in the city of Babylon, and was the daughter of a member of the Babylonian Brotherhood, a precursor to the Hidden Ones and the following Assassin Order. She joined the Brotherhood guild in the city, and during the time that she was alive, Alexander the Great was conquering Southwest Asia with his Scepter; in truth, this was a Staff of Eden. Since he was backed by the Order of the Ancients, he was an enemy of the Brotherhood.
In 330 BC, after the Order's assassination of Darius III of Persia, the Brotherhood decided that Alexander was a major threat and had to be eliminated. From then, until 323, the Brotherhood succeeded in wounding him many times in his campaigns but failed to permanently wipe him out, so Iltani headed to Babylon when a fellow member convinced the Macedonians to withdraw from India.
Iltani entered the palace of Nebuchadnezzar in Babylon and poured a gourd of poison into a glass of water that a fever-stricken Alexander was going to drink. Alexander drank it and died on 11 June 323 BC of the effects. Her sarcophagus was located in the Duomo of Florence, Italy, and Ezio Auditore da Firenze discovered her tomb and took her seal so that he could unlock the armor of Altair Ibn-La'Ahad at his villa.
