Ilario Barbolani (1444 - 25 April 1478) was a mercenary hired by the House of Pazzi during the Pazzi Conspiracy. Barbolani and Saverio Bronzino were hired to patrol the catacombs under the Santa Maria Novella church in Florence, and the cowardly Barbolani hated the cold and decided to run to warn another guard post if anything happened to Saverio. After Saverio and a few other mercenaries were killed by Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Barbolani led Auditore on a long chase through the catacombs, and Auditore succeeded in jumping from a pile of crates to air assassinate Barbolani before he could warn his fellow guards.
