The Ikeda were a feudal Japanese samurai clan enfeoffed in Mikawa Province. They were aligned with the Tokugawa during the Sekigahara Campaign. They were given the Tottori Domain as a reward for their service.

Much like the Hosokawa, the Ikeda also descended from the Emperor Seiwa Genji. Terumasa Ikeda benefited from Ieyasu Tokugawa's move to Kyoto, with him taking over Mikawa territory. Terumasa's marriage to a daughter of Ieyasu left the former with some encouragement to support the Tokugawa.
