Ignace Couvreur

Ignace Couvreur (1701-) was a French slave trader and the captain of the Capricieux, a slave ship. In 1735, his ship was attacked by the Maroon pirate Adewale, and Courveur was badly wounded during the fight. Ultimately, he surrendered, and he was imprisoned by the slaves.
