Iggy Pop

James Newell Osterberg Jr. (born 21 April 1947), better known as Iggy Pop, is an American rock and punk singer-songwriter. He was born in Muskegon, Michigan in 1947 and raised in a trailer park in Ypsilanti, and he become involved in bands at his high school. From 1968 to 1974, he was a member of The Stooges, and he began a solo career with the album The Idiot in 1977. He became known for his outrageous and unpredictable stage antics, and also as a quietly right-wing rockstar; in the 1970s, he released the song "I'm a Conservative", which was seen as liberal satire until Iggy Pop said that he actually was a conservative.
