Biography[]

Idwal Foel was the son of Anarawd ap Rhodri, and he inherited the throne of Gwynedd in 916. He allied with Aethelstan of England in 924, and he took part in his campaign against Scotland before marching with Hywel Dda of Deheubarth against Owain I ap Dyfnwal of Strathclyde.
