Ibadism is distinct from both Shia and Sunni Islam. Ibadis believe that souls condemned to Hell will stay there forever. Ibadis also reject the notion that Muslims will get to see Allah on the Day of Judgment.

In addition to their beliefs in the afterlife, the Ibadis are believed to be a puritanical branch of Islam that strictly adhere to sharia law in public and private. However, one of their beliefs is to solve differences through dignity and reason instead of confrontation. They tolerate both Christianity and Judaism in their communities, and currently they have a large presence in Oman.
