The Iosif Stalin-2 was a Soviet heavy tank that entered use by the Red Army in 1943. The IS-2 tank replaced the Kliment Voroshilov tanks, and they were produced from 1943 to 1945, with 3,854 being built for service during World War II. The Korean People's Army was supplied with IS-2 tanks during the Korean War, using them against the US Army.
