Hyderabad was one of the original members of the Maratha Confederacy, with 422,297 people in 1706. It was 71.2% Hindu and 28.8% Islamic, and by 1750, it developed into a larger state. The state grew to have a population of 758,447, with a religious dispersion of 71.2% Hinduism and 28.8% Islam.
