Hussa bint Ahmed al-Sudairi

Hussa bint Ahmed al-Sudairi (1900-1969) was a Queen of Saudi Arabia with Ibn Saud and one of his favorite wives out of his 22 consorts.

Biography[]

Hussa bint Ahmed al-Sudairi was born in 1900 to the al-Sudairi family of Nejd, and her father Ahmed bin Muhammad al-Sudairi was a powerful chief of the Sudairi tribe who supported King Ibn Saud of Nejd in his conquest of Saudi Arabia. Hussa was married by Ibn Saud twice, first in 1913 at the age of 13 and then in 1920 at the age of 20, having married his brother Muhammad bin Abdul-Rahman in between the two marriages; Muhammad was forced to divorce Hussa by Ibn Saud, who loved Hussa. She was one of his favorite wives, and she was the mother of King Fahd of Saudi Arabia and Salman I of Saudi Arabia and ten other princes and princesses. She died in 1969.
