The Huron-Wyandot was a tribe of Native Americans that inhabited the American Midwest and southern Canada. Close partners with France in both the fur trade and their wars with Great Britain, they later fought alongside Great Britain to save their lands from the United States in the 1770s. The tribe was arch-enemies with the Iroquois Confederacy for all of its existence, and they were eventually moved to the Midwest by the Americans.
