Hubishna, known to the Greeks as Cybistra, was a Luwian town of ancient Cappadocia and Cilicia, now the site of Eregli in Konya Province, Turkey. Hubishna was conquered by the Hittite king Labarna I during the 17th century BC, and King Ammuna re-subjugated Hubishna and other rebelling vassal states during the 16th century BC. After the collapse of the Hittite Empire during the Late Bronze Age collapse, Hubishna became one of the neo-Hittite states constituting the Tabal confederation. Its ruler Puhame became an Assyrian vassal in 836 BC, and the city was the site of King Esarhaddon's victory over the Cimmerians in 679 BC. Hubishna became known to the Greeks as Kybistra and to the Romans as Cybistra, and it was the seat of a Christian bishopric.
