Hubert Mallet (1826-1859) was a French Army sergeant who served in the Cochinchina Campaign of 1858-1862. In 1859, he led a raiding party against a Chinese fortress during the Siege of Tan An, but he and his two fellow raiders were killed when a force of Qing bannermen responded to their attempt to torch the Tan An fortress' wooden defensive wall.
