Hubert (830-877) was an Anglo-Saxon resident of Winchester, Wessex during the late 9th century. In 877, he promised to help Reeve Goodwin investigate Bishop Ealhferth's ties to the Order of the Ancients, but he and his wife Adney Marshall were arrested on the orders of Reeve Selwyn for "speaking false of Bishop Ealhfrith". Hubert was publicly executed at the Shieldmaker's Yard, but Goodwin's associate Eivor Wolf-Kissed assassinated Selwyn before he could execute Adney as well.
