Hu Yuan (247-301) was an officer of Wei.
Biography[]
Hu Yuan was the son of Hu Lie. He served in Shu's subjugation force under Zhong Hui. After the destruction of Shu, Zhong Hui and Jiang Wei formed a rebellion, and when his father Hu Lie was imprisoned for leaving Zhong Hui, he raised troops together with Wei Guan and attacked Chengdu, killing Zhong Hui and forcing Jiang Wei to take his own life.
