Hroi (died 875) was an East Anglian Viking during the 9th century AD. He served under Thurkil at the naval Battle of Hamptun in 875, and he was the only member of the 46-man crew to be captured alive by Uhtred of Bebbanburg and his West Saxon crew. Uhtred then interrogated him and discovered that King Guthrum did not plan to attack Wessex that year (as he was awaiting the return of Halfdan Whiteshirt from Ireland), that Kjartan had become Jarl of Dunholm, and Ragnar Ragnarsson was commanding four of Guthrum's ships. He was then escorted to Winchester in chains to be interrogated by King Alfred the Great, and he was presumably hanged or beheaded shortly after.
