House of Life

The House of Life was a makeshift clinic in the ruins of an old temple in Siwa, Egypt which was founded and operated by the healer Rabiah during the 1st century BC. It was founded to treat the residents of the village, and Rabiah paid the nomarch for the privilege of being able to use the temple grounds. However, Pharaoh Ptolemy XIII had his soldiers confiscate her medical supplies as "tribute" for the Royal Army and drove her and her patients from the temple; in 48 BC, the medjay Bayek returned to Siwa and cleared the temple of the soldiers, allowing for Rabiah to reopen her clinic.
