The House of Ivrea, also known as the Anscarids, was a dynasty of Franks from Burgundy that existed from the tenth century until 1369. The dynasty originated with Count Anscar I of Ivrea, who was enfeoffed with the March of Ivrea in Italy by Guy III of Spoleto in gratitude for his loyalty. His descendants, either named "Anscarids" due to their progenitor, or the "House of Ivrea" due to his lands, ruled the County of Burgundy from the 1000s to 1100s and then Galicia and Castile/Leon from 1111 to 1369. The house would be replaced by the illegitimate House of Trastamara as a result of the Hundred Years' War.
