Hosea Badders (died 1973) was a Las Vegas, Nevada cardshark. In 1973, Badders and his friend Hiram Elder entered Frank Rosenthal's Tangiers Casino, and they cheated at their card games by using wires that moved whenever they moved their hands. This would tell the other player about the cards that they had, allowing for the cardsharks to make better choices in-game. Rosenthal later discovered this, and he had Elder tortured before showing Badders how Elder's hand was broken. Rosenthal told Badders that he would be let go if he left and never came back, and Badders thanked him. However, Rosenthal had him murdered and thrown in an alleyway, with the excuse being that he was "hit by a car".
