Horace Augustus Hildreth (2 December 1902-2 June 1988) was the Republican Governor of Maine from 3 January 1945 to 3 January 1949, succeeding Sumner Sewall and preceding Frederick G. Payne.

Horace Augustus Hildreth was born in Gardiner, Maine in 1902, and he practiced law in Boston before returning to Maine to serve in the State House from 1940 to 1942, in the State Senate from 1942 to 1944, as Governor from 1945 to 1949, and as Ambassador to Pakistan from 1953 to 1957. He died in 1988.
