Hope Alexander Lankford (1850-1898) was an American outlaw of the Wild West who was active in South Dakota during the 1890s. In 1898, he and scores of other outlaws descended on the cattle town of Valentine, Nebraska, but they were gunned down by the armed townspeople and the hired guns Arizona Kid and Iron-Sights Jones.
