Honda Toshizane (born 1829) was a Japanese daimyo who ruled the Okazaki Domain of Mikawa Province during the Boshin War. He was enthroned in March 1867 after his general Maeda Munehira seized Okazaki from the Choshu Domain, but Choshu daimyo Mori Takachika quickly made peace with Honda upon realizing their shared pro-Imperial views, and they soon concluded an alliance. Toshizane was also persuaded to join Choshu's wars against the pro-Shogunate factions to the east, with Toshizane leading his armies against the powerful Nagaoka Domain in Totomi Province.
