Hollow Coins are a tool used mainly by the American Mafia and Russian Mafia. They look like just average coins but contain drugs, such as cocaine, LSD, or marijuana, or even money to give to either customers or employees. It is opened by inserting a needle into a tiny hole in the front of the coin.
