The Holit massacre was a massacre of Israeli citizens carried out by Palestinian Hamas terrorists at the southern Israeli town of Holit during the "Operation Al-Aqsa Flood" surprise offensive of October 2023. At 8 AM, Hamas militants began an attack on Holit, moving from house to house and killing at least 11 kibbutz members and two migrant workers, among them two American citizens. On 11 October, Hamas released a video showing kibbutz member Avital Aladjem and her neighbor's children being released at the Gaza border in a propaganda video meant to humanize the Hamas terrorists in the wake of their genocidal violence.
