Hitler Youth

The Hitler Youth, known as Hitlerjugend in German, was the youth wing of the fascist Nazi Party from 1933 to 1945. The organization had its roots in 1922, but it was formally founded in 1933 for boys aged 10 to 18, and it served as a sort of paramilitary organization, comparable to the Boy Scouts in other countries. Near the end of World War II, some Hitler Youth members were conscripted into the Volkssturm militia, and the 12th SS Panzer Division Hitlerjugend was manned by Hitler Youth members and led by Waffen-SS officers. The youth wing of the Nazi Party was banned in occupied Germany after the war's end.
