Hiroshi Horie was born in Osaka, Japan, and he became an employee of Mirei Park's Dyna Chair entertainment company. While there, he became Haruka Sawamura's manager, helping her book appearances on talk shows, game shows, handshake events, and other events. He was slapped and nearly fired by Park after members of T-Set tripped Haruka - who made the producer Yoshiaki Manda spill his coffee - and Horie grabbed the wrist of one of the T-Set members. Horie later redeemed himself by helping Haruka search out Christina, a legendary dance instructor who agreed to take over Haruka's training for the fired Kan Ogita.

Not long after, Park was found dead in an apparent suicide, and Shun Akiyama, Park's creditor, helped Horie and Haruka investigate her death. Unfortunately, while Akiyama and Haruka were out searching for clues, Kamon Kanai came to the Dyna Chair offices and demanded to know where Goro Majima's letter to Park was. When Horie proved unhelpful, Kanai threw him from the roof, attempting to create another suicide scene. However, Horie gradually recovered at the hospital as Haruka's vocal coach Misa Yamaura took over managerial duties. A recovering Horie later attended Haruka's debut concert at the Tokyo Dome, witnessing her surprise retirement from the idol industry.
