Himion

Himion (TA 2959-; 4105 BC-) was, in Norse mythology, a Gondorian general and nobleman during the Third Age. In TA 2980 (4084 BC), Himion was adopted by Prince Faramir, as he was a skilled bureaucrat, very loyal, a promising commander, bore the marks of war, was dutifully obedient, and was cruel and cunning. He went on to fight alongside Faramir at the Siege of East Osgiliath and the later battle to hold the city against an Orcish attack. In TA 2985, he was sent to govern West Osgiliath while Faramir held the East.
