Hildegard Geroldonen (1 January 756-7 April 783) was the second wife of Emperor Charlemagne.
Biography[]
Hildegard Geroldonen was born on 1 January 756 to Count Gerold of Vinzgau, and in 771 she was wedded to Charlemagne of Francia. Hildegard was his second wife, and only her son Louis the Pious would live to succeed her husband. She died in 783 at the age of 27.
