Hikmat Hasanov (1975-) was an Azerbaijani Major-General during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Biography[]
Hikmat Hasanov was born in Pirehmedli, Azerbaijan SSR, Soviet Union in 1975, and he received a military education in Turkey and China before rising in the ranks of the Azerbaijani military. In 2014, he was promoted to the rank of Major-General, and he oversaw the 3 October 2020 capture of Suqovusan during the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
