High Chief Gaspar of Slavonia (26 April 783-) was the High Chief of Slavonia from 24 June 795, succeedng High Chief Silimir of Slavonia.
Biography[]
Gaspar was born on 26 April 783 to the House of Senulatovic, a dynasty of pagan Croatians. He succeeded his father as high chief of Slavonia upon his death on 24 June 795, and his High Chiefdom of Slavonia fought the Republic of Venice. On 9 April 799 he usurped the Great City of Krizevci from Hektorios, so Doge Giovanni of Venice had him transfer Bishop Enzo of Krk to him as a direct vassal. Gaspar was grieved deeply, and he was already hostile (Giovanni, however, wanted his son Enzo to be closer to him). To compensate, Gaspar was made a State Inquisitor of Venice.
