Herve Quemar (1745 - 1830) was a lawyer during the French Revolution who defended people accused of treason by the National Assembly.
Biography[]
Herve Quemar was born in the Kingdom of France, and he suffered from a heart condition, forcing him to take small doses of aconite to help. Quemar became a member of the Assassin Order and was a Master Assassin, sitting on the Assassin Council of Paris alonside Honore Gabriel Riqueti de Mirabeau, Sophie Trenet, and Guillaume Beylier. He was one of the suspects in Mirabeau's murder after aconite was found in Mirabeau's cup on the day of his death on 2 April 1791, but he helped new assassin Arno Dorian in finding the killer, Pierre Bellec. Quemar did not trust Arno from the start, as he was angry that he took part in the assassination of Templar Order member Chretien Lafreniere without the council's permission on 31 March. In 1793, Quemar, Beylier, and Trenet had Arno expelled from the order.
