Declaration of the Korean revolution
The Heroic Corps was a Korean anarchist resistance movement that was founded by Kim Won-bong in 1919 with the goal of resisting Japan's occupation of Korea. The movement succeeded the March 1st Movement after it was crushed, and its members were far-left activists who felt that the organizations that had gone into exile were too moderate. The Heroic Corps supported violent revolution in its manifesto, and it assassinated high-ranking Japanese officials and carried out acts of terrorism against government offices. The Heroic Corps moved its headquarters to Beijing, China, and it brought members to Shanghai; the corps had 70 members in 1924. Kuomintang leader Chiang Kai-shek supported the corps, but it lost support as the times changed, with the Korean guerrillas in Manchuria and the Korean Liberation Army acquiring more support.
