Herman Lehlbach

Herman Lehlbach (3 July 1845-11 January 1904) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-NJ 6) from 4 March 1885 to 3 March 1891, succeeding William H.F. Fiedler and preceding Thomas Dunn English. Born in the Grand Duchy of Baden, he emigrated to Newark before becoming a civil engineer. Lehlbach served in the General Assembly from 1884 to 1891 and in Congress, and he later served as Essex County sheriff from 1893 to 1896 before dying in 1904.
