
Henry W. Barry (April 1840-7 June 1875) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-MS 3) from 8 April 1870 to 4 March 1875, succeeding William Barksdale and preceding Hernando Money.
Biography[]
Henry W. Barry was born in Schoharie County, New York in 1840, and he was raised in Louisville, Kentucky before serving in the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war, he became a lawyer in Columbus, Mississippi, serving in the State Senate in 1868 and in the US House of Representatives from 1870 to 1875. He died just three months after leaving office.
