
Henry Radclyffe, 2nd Earl of Sussex (1507-17 February 1557) was the Earl of Sussex from 1542 to 1557, succeeding Robert Radclyffe and preceding Thomas Radclyffe.
Biography[]
Henry Radclyffe was a son of Robert Radclyffe, 1st Earl of Sussex, and he was a cousin of Arthur, Prince of Wales, Margaret Tudor, Henry VIII of England, Mary Tudor, and other members of the ruling House of Tudor. He married a daughter of Thomas Howard, 2nd Duke of Norfolk, and he succeeded his father as Earl of Sussex in 1542. In 1554, his cousin Mary I of England created him a Knight of the Garter alongside Philip II of Spain, Emmanuel Philibert of Savoy, and William Howard, 1st Baron Howard of Effingham. He died in 1557.
