Henry Porteous Alexander (13 September 1801-22 February 1867) was a member of the US House of Representatives (W-NY 17) from 4 March 1849 to 3 March 1851, succeeding George Petrie and preceding Alexander H. Buell. Born in Little Falls, he worked as a merchant and banker before serving in Congress.
