
Henry Mahan Beardsley (20 October 1858-19 April 1938) was the Republican Mayor of Kansas City from 1906 to 1907, succeeding Jay H. Neff and preceding Thomas T. Crittenden Jr..
Biography[]
Henry Mahan Beardsley was born in Mount Vernon, Ohio in 1858, and he was raised in Champaign, Illinois and became a lawyer in Kansas City in 1886. Beardsley served as president of the local YMCA before serving as Mayor from 1906 to 1907, and he ran the city like a business and oversaw the passage of a new city charter. He died in 1938.
