Henry C. Martindale (6 May 1780-22 April 1860) was a member of the US House of Representatives (NR-NY 18) from 4 March 1823 to 3 March 1831 (succeeding Micah Sterling and preceding Nathaniel Pitcher) and from NY-12 from 4 March 1833 to 3 March 1835 (succeeding Joseph Bouck and preceding David Abel Russell). Born in Berkshire County, Massachusetts, he practiced law in Hudson Falls before serving as Washington County surrogate from 1816 to 1819, district attorney from 1821 to 1828, in Congress, and as a canal appraiser from 1840 to 1843. His son John H. Martindale became a Union Army general.
