Henry Bowen

Henry Bowen (26 December 1841-29 April 1915) was a member of the US House of Representatives (R-VA 9) from 4 March 1883 to 3 March 1885 (succeeding Abram Fulkerson and preceding Connally Findlay Trigg) and from 4 March 1887 to 3 March 1889 (succeeding Trigg and preceding John A. Buchanan). Born in Tazewell, the son of Rees Bowen, the nephew of John W. Johnston, and the cousin of William B. Campbell, he served in the 8th Virginia Cavalry Regiment during the American Civil War, as a farmer, in the House of Delegates from 1869 to 1873, and in the US House of Representatives from 1883 to 1885 and from 1887 to 1889. He died in 1915.
