Hella (died 917) was a mute Norse woman who served as a lady-in-waiting to Queen Stiorra of Northymbre during the early 10th century. In 917, she helped Stiorra find a hiding place as Brida and Ragnall ua Imair's army captured York from King Sihtric Caech through treachery, and she accompanied Stiorra as she emerged from the sewers to convince Brida to stop butchering her ladies-in-waiting for sacrifice. Stiorra persuaded Brida to spare Hella, whom she said would make a good servant, and Brida initially agreed before stabbing Hella in the back and killing her to intimidate the others and sacrifice her to the gods.
