Helene Knapp (born 9 December 1928) was a fundraiser for the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War.
Biography[]
Helene Knapp was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1928, and she married US Army colonel Herman L. Knapp in June 1952. Her husband went missing in 1967 during the Vietnam War, and Knapp became an activist for POW/MIA wives, becoming a fundraiser for the National League of Families of American Prisoners and Missing in Southeast Asia.
