Helen Hayes

Helen Hayes (10 October 1900-17 March 1993) was an American actress from Washington DC. She became a Hollywood and Broadway actress during the 1930s, and the Fulton Theatre on Broadway was renamed in her honor in 1955; she was also one of the less than twenty actors and actresses to win an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony Award during their careers. Hayes was a pro-business Republican who attended many Republican National Conventions, although she was not especially vocal about her politics. She died in Nyack, New York in 1993.
