
Heidi Allen (born 18 January 1975) was the Conservative Party MP for South Cambridgeshire from 7 May 2015 to 6 November 2019, succeeding Andrew Lansley and preceding Anthony Browne.
Biography[]
Heidi Allen was born in Notton, West Yorkshire, England in 1975, and she worked in corporate positions before joining the Conservative Party. She served as MP for South Cambridgeshire from 2015 to 2019, and she opposed Brexit in 2016. In 2019, she decided to join The Independent Group due to her opposition to Boris Johnson's leadership of her party, but, in June 2019, she left the party to sit as an independent MP, founding The Independents in July and joining the Liberal Democrats in August. She decided to stand down ahead of the 2019 election.
