Hedyn Rowe

Hedyn Rowe (born 1688) was an English pirate and the captain of the man o' war Royal Misfortune during the Golden Age of Piracy.

Biography[]

Hedyn Rowe was born in Falmouth, Cornwall, England in 1688, and he served in the British Royal Navy in the Caribbean during the War of the Spanish Succession. After the war, he was unemployed, so he decided to become a pirate. He joined the crew of Edward Kenway's ship Jackdaw, and he took part in numerous expeditions before being made captain of a captured Spanish Navy ship, which he renamed Royal Misfortune. With Kenan Hunkin as his first mate, Rowe became a member of Kenway's fleet.
