Hector Addington (1912-1995) was a British Special Air Service sergeant during World War II.
Biography[]
Hector Addington was born in Coventry, England in 1912, and he enlisted in the Special Air Service in 1933. Addington served in the SAS during World War II, taking part in special missions behind German lines during the liberation of Europe in 1944. One of those missions was the April 1945 Liberation of Zutphen, clearing the town of German resistance.
