The Ten Commandments
The Hebrew Bible is the canonical collection of Jewish texts, which is also the textual source of the Christian Old Testament. The Hebrew Bible was written over the course of centuries, with the Book of Genesis being written by Moses in around 1400 BC, while the last book (including the apocrypha), 2 Maccabees, was written in 124 BC.
